Landlord Insurance
Buildings and Contents Insurance
Landlords must insure their building and can also insure their contents. Contents Insurance is especially important if the property in question is let out on a furnished basis, however it is still available for unfurnished properties.
Rent Protection and Legal Cover
Rent Protection is available to offset the risk of periods when you may not be receiving any income from your tenants. This type of insurance is usually for a 6 to 12 month period and will cover loss of monthly rent (subject to maximum limits and providers’ terms and conditions).
Legal Cover is available for the recovery of rent arrears and the eviction process only, if necessary.
