Fixed Rate Mortgages
With a Fixed Rate Mortgage, your mortgage interest rate is fixed for a set period. During which, your mortgage payments will stay the same. At the end of the fixed rate period, your mortgage will revert to the lender’s Standard Variable Rate (SVR). You should seek advice from an Independent Mortgage Adviser to review your mortgage 3 to 6 months before your fixed rate ends.
Fixed rates are usually available from between 1 and 10 years, however they can be available for longer or shorter periods depending on market conditions.
